Decompression Chamber

For deeper diving operations Works of Diving Hong Kong Co., Limited can mobilize its 54” Twin Lock Decompression chamber, made in the United Kingdom.

Surface decompression is a technique for completing the diver’s decompression obligation inside an enclosed chamber rather than in the water. Using this method reduces the time the diver spends in the water and if breathing oxygen in the chamber reduces his total decompression time.

Advantages of Surface Decompression:

  • Shorter exposure times in water keeps the diver from becoming overly cold.
  • Diver maintained at a constant pressure, unaffected by sea conditions.
  • Diver can be monitored for signs of decompression sickness.
  • Use of oxygen as the breathing gas during decompression can reduce the total decompression time.
